Stainless Steel Droppings is doing his RIP challenge again. RIP stands for Readers Imbibing Peril.
The R.I.P. III Challenge is a celebration of all tales gothic, eerie, creepy, and dark. Tales that one reads in the dark of night, experiencing delicious shivers of terror and suspense at each creak of the floorboards or each gust of wind. The definition for what type of books fit into this category will be very broad.
There are three Perils (challenges) to choose from – I am going to pick:
Peril the First:
Read four books of any length, from any subgenre of scary stories that you choose.
These are my choices:
1. A Holly, Jolly Murder by Joan Hess – Review here
2. Dial a Ghost by Iva Ibbotson – Review here
3. Summer Knight by Jim Butcher – Review here
4. Bunnicula: A Rabbit tale of Mystery by Deborah Howe – Review here
Everybody’s reviews can be posted to Mr Linky at the R.I.P.ing yarns blog – will be a perilous source of creepy books.
